Pierre Ravel works as research and development engineer in the “Environment” division of CSTB, in Grenoble (department energy – health – environment).
He is graduated in sustainable development from the UJF of Grenoble (University Joseph Fourier) since 2005, and in environmental, quality and safety management systems from the INSA of Lyon (National Institute of Applied Sciences) since 2008. He is an LCA expert and makes EPD (environmental product declaration) of construction products. He also runs the French database of these EPD: the INIES database (www.inies.fr). He takes part in numerous projects in particular to assess the environmental impact of construction products and buildings. He takes part in the development of the software ELODIE, the CSTB software for buildings LCA.
